Yes. The program is fully open source and has been public for years. No member of the large community has ever had problems with viruses or major bugs.

Launch the game. Go to Steam library, find the running Spacewar -> Right-click -> Properties, in input settings "Disable Steam Input", then restart the game.

This game requires stable direct connections and internet in general, but there are several steps to improve connection stability. Might help.

Distributed coal is for online play only, cannot be sold.
